The standard widths of our gates are 3' (.90mt). All our gates are made to your specification; maximum width is 6' (1.8mt). No gates are kept in stock so call in the yard or ring us with the size required and we can make it for you, normally within the week. In general all our gates are made on a 3"x 2" (75 x 50mm nominal size) timber frame, mortised on four corners with the appropriate struts in place, all pressure treated green. Our timber frames are planed with eased edges and stress graded to a standard C16 to C24.
Picket gate pales come in rounded tops, pointed tops or flat tops.

We carry a range of gate posts sizes: 4"x 4" (100x100mm) and 3"x 3" (75x75mm). All our posts are home grown and pressure treated green to a British standard.
The KD treated posts are guaranteed for 15 years against rot, these have been kiln dried for 5 days prior to pressure treating.
